Description
Cliffoney beach (also known as Trawalua beach) is a 4 mile-long beach located at the western side of Mullaghmore Head, south of Roskeragh Point. It is a popular beach with naturists who use the more secluded right-hand side of this lovely soft sandy beach down as far as the rocks. The left hand side is used by families and by a horse riding school.
The beach is only accessible from the football pitch outside Cliffoney village on foot following a little stream which meanders through fields and by dunes. Strong currents are present at this beach, hence the beach is not suitable for swimming.
