Sligo Surf Location
Dunmoran
Description:
Quiet beach which is perfect for beginners/intermediates . The beach is sheltered and produces waves the whole year round. The best waves can be found when the wind blows from the Southeast. Close to the carpark is a rocky outcrop, further along the beach is rock free. |

Easkey
Description:
The best waves are produced here by north swells and large west swells. Easkey left is a rivermouth which works itself over rock boulders against the tide. Best conditions are the incoming high tide. Easkey right is a righthander over reef. On good days, it will form great barrel sections. There are always some surfers around enjoying the great waves. There is plenty of carpark space at the castle |

Enniscrone
Description:
Enniscrone is an exposed beach which produces a righthand pointbreak. The best waves are produced when there is a North to North West swell. |

Strandhill
Description:
Very popular surf location in Co.Sligo . It is an exposed North-West facing beach break which produces fairly consistent surf the whole year round. Strandhill is probably the busiest surf spot in County Sligo, not only because of the great surfing it produces almost every day of the year, but also because of the fabulous apres surfing food and drink joints. |

Streedagh
Description:
This exposed beach and reef break produces consistent waves, with the ideal swell direction being from the West. The beach breaks offer both lefts and rights. When the swell is up, it can get busy enough on this beautiful exposed beach. Fact: the wreckage of 3 ships of the Spanish Armada are located close to this beach |
