Sligo St Patrick's Day Parade
The theme will be “The Wild Atlantic Way” and will celebrate 10 years of the Wild Atlantic Way and it’s Sligo connection. After last years hugely successful three day event which included a new parade route, live gigs in Stephen St Plaza, live parade stream as well as a family fun day, this years event promises lots of fun for all the family.
The parade route will be the same as last year with some extra entertainment added along the route (watch this space) as well as a Trad Trail around the town on the evening before and after the parade itself. As always, there will be prizes for best entries as well as best dressed person in the crowd and local businesses have the chance to win a prize for the ‘Best Dressed Window’. The parade will take place at midday on March 17th, 2023 and will feature a variety of musical performances, dance groups, and community organizations. Participants are encouraged to get creative with their costumes and floats, incorporating elements of music and fun into their designs. After the huge success last year, the ‘Trad Trail’ returns to multiple venues around town again this year. Running from March 15th to 17th, this event offers an opportunity to enjoy quality performances from local musicians. These free events will showcase the rich ‘Trad’ music scene of Sligo and give visitors a chance to experience some of Sligo town’s iconic venues. As well as the trad trail, there will be the regular abundance of nightly live music gigs across the town. Queen Maeve Square is also set to host its’ first live events, since it’s renovation, over the St Patricks weekend. There are two days of live music on the Gig Rig as well as the 6 Nations Finale between Ireland and Scotland live on the big screen. Be sure to gather your family and friends for an exhilarating afternoon at Queen Maeve Square to watch Ireland take on Scotland in the 6 Nations Finale at 4.45pm on Saturday March 16 th , live on the big screen. After the 6 Nations screening, stay on in Queen Maeve Square for an evening of live music on the 'Gig Rig' stage with headliners King Kong Company finishing the night. Hailed as Ireland's Best Live Act, King Kong Company promise an unforgettable night of music, costumes, lasers, and lights until late. The highlight of the weekend, as always will the annual Sligo Town St Patricks Day Parade. Starting at midday on Mail Coach Road, the parade will wind through the various city streets and finish on Pearse Road. If you can’t make the parade be sure to watch the it live online at www.sligostpatricksday.com or watch back at any time afterwards. It’s back to Queen Maeve Square after the parade with a very special musical event planned to start a full day of live music. Witness history with the world premiere of "The North West Suite" by the Ceol na nOg Traditional Orchestra and the Sligo Academy of Music Sinfonietta. Over 100 youth musicians will combine under the supervision of Niamh Crowley and Stephen Doherty. After this spectacular performance, there will be a full evening of live music and the weekend will closeout with an electrifying performance by headliner DJ Jenny Greene. Experience a diverse mix of house, electro, and old-school classics in a night to remember from the 2fm star. All Queen Maeve Square events will have a €5 admission charge on the gate, with U8’s going free. The Parade itself, as always will be free. Other free events over the weekend include a Sligo Town Historic Walk at 4.30pm from the Tourist Office on O’Connell St on St. Patricks Day and a special evening of music at Sligo Cathedral at 8pm on St Patricks Day. Enniscrone St Patrick's Day parade
Everyone is welcome to take part in the "two Village" St Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday 17th Marh. The parade will start at 1pm at the Diamond Coast Hotel in Enniscrone and will move on towards Easkey (3pm)
The wackier the floats, the better .
No need to book your entry, just bling up and show up. (Enniscrone meeting point for entries at the Diamond Coast Hotel at 12.30pm).
If you think it will be too daunting to make a float, then groups could walk behind a Flag or Banner or simply just walk in the parade with blinged-up buggies, prams, bikes and scooters etc., to give the children the excitement of being in our Parade.

The Ballymote St Patrick's Day parade promises to be bigger than ever. Kicking off at 3:30pm, it will be a great day for the family with loads of music and fun.
Aclare St Patrick's Day parade
The day will start with Free Registration of floats at Kilmactigue Community Centre from 3.30 pm. The Parade will commence at 4.30 pm.
