The Metalman Swim Series

The Metalman swim series is named after the 13 foot navigational marker located in the bay at Rosses Point Beach.
The race caters for novices and experienced competitors and offers a selection of 1km, 2km and 3km course distances.
There is also the option of a relay followed by an eliminator.

Warrior of the Sea

The warrior of the sea is not a swim for the faint hearted. Swimming from Rosses Point to Strandhill, it is a swim for the experienced swimmers.
The 6km swim brings you from Sligo Yacht club to Coney island. From here, you carry on towards the head of McGuins island followed by the final stretch to Strandhill.

Channel cup swim

The channel Cup swim is a unique 1 mile tidal swim which starts at Sligo Yacht Club and takes you through the channel between Rosses Point village and Oyster island. At the end of the swim, you climb onboard one of the boats which will bring you back to the starting point.

Glencar lake swim

The Glencar Lough Swim takes place in the stunning Glencar Lough which is surrounded by magnificent mountains, the famous Glencar waterfall and Ireland's highest waterfall Sruth in Aghaidh an Aird.
This event appeals to all levels, catering for new and experienced open water swimmers. 

Lough Gill swim

.This tough swim is in aid of North West hospice. The swim started 10 years ago in memory of Neill McGarry who passed away as a result of cancer. The event was created by Paul McGarry and his friend Kieran Fitzgerald who decided to swim the length of Lough Gill in October 2009. With the assistance of one kayaker, they managed to finish while covered in cuts and bruises. This was the beginning of the Lough Gill Swim
