Sligo mountaineering club

Sligo MC has been in existence since 1974 and is celebrating 40 years of hiking and hill-walking this year 2014. Currently the membership stands at over 100 members. The Club walks for 10 months of the year taking a break for the months of July and August. They are based in Sligo and use Benbulben Mountain and the surrounding peaks as their playground.
From September to June, the club meets every Sunday and has a variety of different grade walks each month. There are a selection of days assigned to introduce new members to the mountains. |
