Lissadell House & Gardens
|
Lissadell House is famous as the childhood home of Constance Markievicz, one of the leaders of the 1916 rising. The house has now lovingly been restored by it's current owners and has a fabulous tearoom, gardens and exhibitions.
While walking through the alpine garden, kitchen garden or the grounds, it is not hard to see why the location was chosen to built this stately home. Opening times: Wednesdays through to Sundays (so closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, except for Bank Holiday Mondays), 10.30am to 6pm |
