Sligo Heritage Pubs
There are plenty of heritage pubs in County Sligo. Your visit to County Sligo wouldn't be complete without a visit to one of these historical gems.
From the open fires to the old stone floors to the snugs where you can enjoy a quiet drink, enjoy a perfectly poured pint or a spirit.
Welcome to Sligo’s oldest heritage, award winning pub.
Where Thomas Connolly's heritage pub was first licensed in 1861, its history goes as far back as 1780 when a smaller pub was established in Holborn Street. At the time, the Markievicz Road end of the pub was originally living quarters.
These days, Thomas Connolly is best known for their warm welcome, their famous pint of stout, regular live music and relaxing atmosphere.
