Starting in the village of Coolaney, this looped drive will bring you along the scenic Ladies Brae, let you discover the Owenboy river and bring you close to the many sheep which wander along the tiny scenic road. Following this initial drive through the Ox Mountains, you will reach the Wild Atlantic route which will let you discover the beauty of Aughris Head and Dromore West. From here, you will head back into the Ox mountains where you can admire Lough Easkey, Mass Hill and the remoteness of Easkey bog. |
Mullaghmore Head - Gleniff Horseshoe drive
This looped drive starts in Cliffoney village. Starting of, first stop will be the beautiful beach at Cliffoney followed by a scenic trip along the headland of Mullaghmore. Stop for a refreshing drink or a meal at Mullaghmore village . After having admired the beautiful Atlantic, follow a route which leaves the coast behind making your way towards the Dartry mountains. The beautiful looped drive at Gleniff Horseshoe will bring you stunning scenery, let you discover the old Baryte mines, bring you up and close with ireland's highest cave and bring you ample photo opportunities.
