Description: Rock house is a unique self catering property located on the shore of Lough Arrow. Lough Arrow, which has been designated as a special area of conservation, is one of Ireland's great wild brown trout lakes. The property, which can sleep up to 24 guests, is conveniently located within easy reach of the thriving towns of Sligo, Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon and close to many of County Sligo's tourist attractions. A number of important historical sites are located in the area around the house, from the Carrowkeel Megalithic Cemetery which is one of Ireland's most extensive and best preserved complexes of Irish passage tombs to Creevykeel Abbey, there is something new to discover every day of the week. The stunning Wild Atlantic Way is only a short drive away from the house, and it is highly recommended to discover Sligo's Waypoints along this route. Rock House is the perfect property for large groups. The main room overlooking the lake is perfect for a group to socialise with a dining area, TV area and games space. The large kitchen off the common room has equipment to cook for a group of 20+ people. The dining area seats up to 24 and there is a separate games room with ping pong, large TV and computer games. There are 9 en-suite bedrooms that have a mix of sleeping arrangements with double beds, single beds and bunks.
Rock House is pet friendly and the land that runs down to the lake is perfect for doggie swims! There is the option of renting the cottage in addition to the main house. The cottage is just a few meters from the main house, has 3 en-suite bedrooms and a sitting room/kitchen. The cottage was fully renovated in 2022. Outside is a large car park for numerous cars and a large garden overlooking lough Arrow. |
