Atlantic Technological University
Since Sligo IT first opened it's door in September 1970, it has slowly grown into one of Ireland's leading third level institutions. Nowadays , it is known as the Atlantic Technological university. The campus is home to approximately 6000 students who are studying full-time, part-time at the college or in one of the apprenticeship programmes.

Sligo College of further education is the largest provider of Further Education in the Northwest offering a diverse range of courses for Post Leaving Certificate and mature students. Students also have the opportunity to apply for an Erasmus+ internship programme in Exeter, UK, Barcelona, Spain and Kempten.
