Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir is brought to you by the Arts Council; it is a national moment, celebrating culture, creativity and the arts and seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.
Culture night brings unique events, visual spectacles and a variety of arts installations,... All are made available to the public free of charge and bring an immersive experience.

Cloonacool sheep festival
The Cloonacool Sheep Festival is a community run annual event attracting visitors from far. The festival provides a forum for the rural sheep farming tradition. throughout the weekend, there will be many events to entertain the entire family.
The opening night on the 19th September will see Kieran Quinn gracing the stage.... Other events range from Music bingo to a tractor run to a large festival dance,.... Sligo Baroque Music festival
The baroque Festival has been growing from strength to strength, and this year will be the largest ever. Experience the magic of this 29th edition with as highlight the festival's own first opera production " Purcell's delightful Fairy Queen ". The entire weekend is packed with events

Harvest Festival
Join in the fun... The first annual harvest festival will take place on the 15th September at Sligo Folk Park. This event will bring you fun for the whole family with music provided by Ryan Sheridan and friends. Fred and the magic circus will entertain adults and kids alike, there will be face painting , pony rides, harvest games such as tug of war, turf footing, penalty shoot,....
