Description:
Ballygawley lake is situated in Union wood, between Sligo and Ballygawley. The lake is surrounded by forest (Union Wood) and is well covered by reeds. It is a popular breeding ground for swans and their nests can be spotted from the only car park. Their isn't a real boat launching place on the lake, but the carpark and picnic area situated along the R284 are perfect to launch a kayak or start off with some SUP.
